Morning: got news that the repair cost at hope vet rise to 10k n uncle was told amputation 2-3k and he choose amputation. 

W so much trouble n have to ask for X-rays so many fucking times just for an opinion… y pple like to put words into mouth? I simply ask for xray for opinion so that sound decision can be made for a COMMUNITY CAT. y become I have to become responsible for Mao? kns. I only ask for xray for a professional to see n advise further. wth. 

1145am: ask dr d to help me contact dr Patrick directly for his opinion and quotation: “he will most likely need a consult to assess the leg and neurological exam, to see how much damage” – told dr d that uncle is damn f stubborn, no way to bring Mao there. he insist he is the decision maker, he wants Mao leg to be amputated. 

“i think it is a difficult fracture.”

Re the white dot on the xray: “ its a bates body, some old necrotized fat, completely harmless”

“I do think this is a complicated fracture because open and very close to the knee joint, Also presuming the hip is ok… can’t see on this X-ray” 

1214-1248pm: still waiting for dr Patrick’s reply 

Dr Patrick reply:” So looks like the fracture and the wound are both on the same leg.  There is a fairly large area of comminution which will complicate stabilization but its not impossible.  I think the soft tissue wound distally could be successfully managed. I don’t think its a “must amputate” case – but there are always risks as with any case. no worries, let me have someone work on a quote.”

“The risk is infection from the wound into the bone- If the surgery wound gets infected, might have to amputate anyway after a very expensive surgery. And with fiv he doesn’t have the best immune system sadly” 

Ask dr d “Any possibility of If can don’t surgery is good. Maybe if vet says can cage rest first is good” – “Difficult to say, could heal but could also be chronic severely painful. If they don’t want surgery, I would try that first with pain meds. If no good healing or pain, can always amputate them” 

Dr d:”i would try cage rest first, let the wound heal, with antibiotics and pain meds of course” 

308pm: dr Patrick’s reply on non surgery :”The issue with these so close to the stifle is that they will displace typically.  Right now it doesn’t look too displaced (but don’t forget we don’t have the CrCd projection), but usually the condyles will move proximally and caudally and either result in a non-union or severe malunion.” – “Because of the location there is likely a lot of movement between the fracture sites. Means it won’t heal” – so dr p is more favourable for surgery than no. 

Dr d view on try cage rest is based on logical reasoning that “you can only amputate once….”

1027am: I concluded my neighbourhood got a shameless stubborn idiot owner who insist he own a community cat who is free roaming at the carpark and his leg broken as a Result.

Noon: check his eye, got discharge – Duno is got put eyedrop or his eye not comfy – I only help him wipe. 

1107pm: “,this afternoon a car ran over Mou Mou right hind leg and broke it.He is now warded at  – Vet.Tomorrow we will send him to – Vet for treatment.” – can I type TYPE A DAMN WORD on my logbook? IM FUCKING ANGRY. pissed. If I was allowed to bring Mao to vet for eye check up today he won’t be run over by car. N now I can’t help but think he will be suffering When someone don’t listen to a single shit 

1230pm: go visit him, today open his eyeball to check – like third eye lid inner all come out, Duno to feel it’s bad or not, i think should be able to cure one leh.  

Just send clinic to see how – aw:”This looks like conjunctival chemosis – can try eyedrops” – I’ll gather enough info from auntie on when n how often n what eye drops dispensed so far. think Mao eye can be saved. 

By night: gather the following info: “

Acular and vigamox (moxifloxacin) – started on 16.12.21, n I don’t think it’s given much at all. Cos “stopped giving eyedrops bcos he is so frightened.” – I really think is not given. 

Convenia jab 0.4ml given on 5.3.22. 
1153pm: im vomitting blood. Keep wanting to bring back to same vet n yet the most basic eyedrop fr dec21 not used up – now is march. dont want me to bring for proper check up, want me to witness mao eye gone when i feel now still can be saved?!!!! im angry i upfront ask mao so called papa why dont let me bring him to vet when his eye is not properly treated. im pissed.

Day: put halid for him, he seem ok w my visiting and sayang.  

Day: since halid is good for 猫房 cats, vitamins for eye .. no harm right. I go see Mao, his right eye really bad – can’t capture picture cos both hands use – not really red. But the eyeball itself like swollen. Put halid hope relief him a bit also good.  He is under a car, I carry him to void deck to rest. 

12pm: check on his right eye, against the sun can’t see much. But kind of worrying cos his vision should be gone in right eye yet he still cross road to his home and lazing corner – this is really dangerous. 

Left body got some dry spots. Maybe got to give the mummy auntie a bottle of f10 to clean him up.
