Day 01 Joanna come feed them In the morning. 

Night: miss me ah, but definitely didn’t miss the medi round. Clav continue but I think I’ll stop soon cos no pt give till review date cos dr d cancelled 17 oct review. Give till 10 oct 14 days full ab will do. Today given Buprenophine again. Tmr will change to alternate day. 

Got see him eat 

Morning: look normal ok, got eat cos I serve RC renal pouch. 

6pm: quite sure he is in pain, took off his f patch, Tmr will give Buprenophine. Didn’t see him eat. Bandage v messy, Tmr will change for him. clean his eyes – teary. His ears v dirty, don’t think clinic got clean.

8am: today w wellness duo – got eat but a bit. later then give Buprenophine at night. I’m rushing like CRAZY. 

Night: 3.65kg – lose 200g. Given 0.15ml Buprenophine. Checked his o tube hole – healed, clean up and bandage up again. Next off can let him be alr 

Mouth cheek etc didn’t look swollen, not much drooling. But eyes teary.

11Am: installation of our new basin, Manja kpo as usual 

Day: serve food and I go eat first, come back he didn’t touch anything 

Meow loudly, I send him back to 5G 

Meow along the way, but reach 猫房 he auto stop. 

Night: got eat. i forgot to bring Clav jabs along, today miss a dose

Morning: did cleared one plate, so maybe ard 0.5 can of food and some kibble. Got pee no poo. 

Today keep meowing, the meow and look – look in pain. So fast f patch not working alr? Drooling 

Keep meowing – quite loud. 

Night: keep meowing. Did eat maybe another 0.5. Serve 4 more plates, alr ate 2 of them. 

Check his o tube hole, almost heal, clean up rebanage. 

Got some abnormal sizes and shape of poo 5.5/10, like Milo nuggets.  

Manja 29.9.22 Thurs 

Day: meow a little excessive and loud – I can hear from downstairs 

Didn’t clear further food than yesterday. but I think food intake is fine. Serve 3 food in the morning including sheba snapper, he didn’t eat at all. 

night: he didn’t touch all the food, serve 4 more plates and his meowing – Tmr got to send him back to 猫房 5G. 

830am: fr ip: sleeping on the hanging bed which I put him on yesterday. RC renal pouch did touch some. generally maybe eat 5% on his own. Today no more o tube he better start eating. RR 18, but in between body shaking a bit like he is dreaming.  

845am: serve kakato chicken fillet, RC renal pouch, sp tilapia. Not keen on food. Keen on following me and Manja w me. Meow3 at me when I go out to feed the 5G cats 

1145am: checked: all 3 food served not touched. Keep meowing at me – ““has she had fentanyl before?

cuz she has siamese in her and they can be very sensitive to opioids. as in voculisation and agitation” 

1220pm: Serve ciao grilled chicken fillet – keen, think got one bite then stop and still meowing at me at door. 

1pm: wanna do things v hard to do, let him out to roam, aiyo hyper kid. Let him go back to rest. Put in extra bowl of RC urinary kibble. So far didn’t eat further food. Today food intake so far: 3%. 

3pm: saw him eating a bit off the renal pouches plate, then up the box to clean his paw 

Erm dr d’s “restless” = didn’t rest, hyper also restless. Erm. Anyway to monitor Manja to decide whether to take off the f patch n change to Buprenophine “Monitor him for opioid too strong, usually big pupil, miauwing a lot, hyper, restless. Siamese more sensitive to opioids” 

550pm: sleeping soundly – breathing a little fast. Once he realise I’m outside the door, he meow meow meow – I kiss him and sayang him a lot of times today alr 

835pm: meow3 when he see I’m back, I go wash hand first la. End up I forgot to give Totoro med. he clear the renal plate. He did touch some kibble. 

I serve 2 more plates for him, one is tuna w white fish, one tiny taster chicken. 

1030pm: I look in see nothing dangling I know die Liao. Damn it esp when he is up on the hanging bed. V awake can still gauge height and jump down. O tube is off. Oral Clav plan is off. All my a/d purchase waste money Liao. Keep sticking near me. Scold him but tear off the bandage and clean up for him. Hole is fine, clean up and bandage up army print. tmr will bring him back 5G.

V Basic round and I bring Manja, sweeties and fei to vet. Told Manja come back after dental sx is to live in 猫房 forever as Manja wu. 

1053am: we still waiting for fei n sweeties bloods then go home, Manja stay w me b4 going in for sedation. Plan: 2h plan, dr d targeting 1.5h to finish. I’m surprise cos that sound long, I thought she do super fast. 

Her plan: sure take out all the problematic teeth, then Manja go be stable for her to continue taking out the rest and o tube. If choose between the ok teeth vs the o tube, o tube prority. 

108pm: I’m at 4G still clearing stuff in room, messenger sound I check cos scare is dr d – is her: “Bp was going down, couldn’t take out canines. So many remnants in the right lower jaw. Waking up now” – can wake up very smart Manja le, he knows that’s proirity. only canine not out only mah.

“There will be a lot of swelling the first days. All the teeth still visible, all were broken crowns with roots still present also. O tube in. Couldn’t risk prolonging. Bp still 90 at the end which is ok, but started at 140” 

Asked for nail trimming and ear cleaning – not sure done or not. 

“for manja: if you mix 1 can ad with 20 ml water, then it’s 1 kcal/ml. Then total per day 160 ml needs to be given, so 4 times 40 ml. Start with 10 ml 4x today, then 20 ml day 2x then 40 ml. So manja: the right lower jaw, the inflammation caused severe irritation and inflammation to the salivary gland, which is even more triggered and annoyed now. So he will salivate a lot the next days. For him: today ab given, continue tomorrow amox clav, fentanyl. Review yes, 2-3 wks for the mouth. Continue ab till review. Clean the o tube daily as you know, at least for the first week. If wound still clean then, can clean eod day (can also continue daily cleaning) I would like to get updated from you on this app on how he is doing the next days. Waking up ok. 415pm: fetch Manja. Told him I bring him back 4G iso better, so can’t serve him buffet yet. cos I left the plates all in 5G. will give him one plate of RC renal first. Will blend ad n start his tube feeding today. Clav jab restart tmr. 

Ask dr d about the sound from his breathing: “Swelling from the mouth, should be better by tmr, latest day after. Lungs were clear when she was here. She not breathing faster right?” – RR 28 on cab 

“There will be irritation in her mouth from the dental and the o tube. That’s fine. I expect tmr will be gone, please update me” 

““No fluids though eh, no sc. Give oxygen” – told dr I change plan I bring him back 猫房 hospital – i can monitor more here 

530pm: back in iso room, I blended ad (erm 1:20 v thick rather wasteful though the amount to go in is lesser to give him the calories he need, but is really wasteful) next blend I’m doing 1:40. given Manja 10ml o tube. Serve RC renal pouch and aixia oldie – touch none, dr d told me NOOOO to giving him oral food, nah that’s the promise b4 ga. Promise is a promise, I promise buffet meal, night I bring back the plates will still give him the buffet meal – I highly don’t think he will take, but I’ll serve and throw then. but I MUST give him as promise. he is a little high siak in room, move abt, can jump. fan medium, purifier high, room o2 65% 2l/min. 

630pm: drooling a lot from whole mouth. Wipe again and tube feeding another 10ml ad. 

Keep moving about, almost shake off the tube. Hard to tube feed. the mixture too thick I feel tube can’t be flush clean without more water so might as well Blend w more water 

9pm: let him roam, he v active but like v high like that, tube fed 10ml ad. V hard. Have to hug him to stable him. The cap Keep flying off. Don’t think this o tube can stay long. 

1010pm: my nose dying having to keep holding him down. Cap he shake off again. sigh. Keep looking at me. 

630am: serve usual w tiny tasters don’t eat, serve RC renal pouch he chop3 leh, even plate drop on floor he come down continue eating.have to bring more of renal pouches here for his toppings

given Clav and bupre 0.15ml, easy as long as he don’t move, should minimises the pain. 

Serve food w Fancy Feast – got eat ff a bit and walk off. This Sunday need to q him ready for dental sx. Poo 3.5/10 

7pm: tonight eat super premium red snapper – he got eat 🙂

925am: feed tuna w chicken ham – don’t touch. Not keen at all. Serve ad – smell so good that fei come ard wanting to find it, Manja walk away also. Didn’t eat. 

I pack earthmade impt containers he want, of cos give him, he eat earthmade chicken. 

Manja echo received – mainly watchful if his RR IS >30, and also consider taking T4 w full bloods again.

9Am: day 01 given Clav 0.2ml. 3.85kg – lose 40g.

Morning: nails super long, hook 10 nails into my leg – clean his eyes and mouth.

950am: eyes discharge etc look worse so I think more pain. soon, we going dental. Today will Subcut him w b12 b com too. – can’t, no new bag of fluid in 5G. Got to do it Tmr 

1025am; he looks really unwell. clean his eyes. No drooling though. 

Jabs him and he foam and salivating – clean away so stress ah. Hug him for a while. night: got eat tuna w chicken

8pm: told him Tmr we going echo. Safe one. The one I’m worried is the sx. will see him thrice Tmr, no need fasting so I’ll go back rest after morning round then come fetch him again. Tmr won’t give him any Buprenophine b4 echo, so I give him one more lower dose 0.12ml tonight. 

Manja 12.9.22 Mon 

Day: serve usual food didnt touch at all. serve bistro chicken – keen, maybe only 1 bite only? Then serve Fancy Feast – keen, also maybe 2 bites only. Tonight I bringing back ad maybe syringe feed him a bit and see how. 

250pm: resting on bed deck 02, fetch him for echo. On cab ride, he shiver wor. I’m worried about ga too, but told him today is safe only echo check ga risk. 

Echo results: full report will wait, main core point: no disfunction now yet, middle muscle thicken, causing the end flow a bit obstruct. shouldn’t be a big issue for ga. still got risk. But this result is better news than without echo blinding go for ga.  

Tmr will start him on Clav (0.05ml/kg) till 25.9, on the day of sx no Clav, cos dr d will use iv ab on 26.9. think need to remember to m/c him too. 

10am: clean his eyes for him. His Ears ok. 

Given Buprenophine only. He really hate gabapentin. 

1210pm: 3.89kg, gain 40g

1120am: up his Buprenophine to 0.16ml w gabapentin, quite sometime didnt see him eat much. He really hate gabapentin a lot. Will stop giving that n only give bupre. clean his mouth and eyes for him.

840pm: given him a new blue crab catnip – he like it and keep occupying it, Kitty also want it.

Was asking dr d about Manja vs rena, why rena needs echo more than Manja, “so manja needs surgery… so that one would be more important for me. For manja I would be considering ga more for the dental. i would start 1pm with dental then. can go home late afternoon, we are open till 9pm now. i wouldnt do it on same day if im honest. echo will be stress. will need more anesthetic agent to get sedated. only if really no choice” – so I ask dr d should let Manja go ahead w dental sx without echo on 26.9? – “Up to you, if you think manja quick echo is enough. She has a murmur and there was some thickening visible. Acc to yeumee no signs of failure at the moment but she can’t say if disease and what kind of disease. I think the stress will be more when doing echo. I would advise do echo and another day dental. And then still if It doesn’t feel ok, i stop. But that would be the safest”

Morning: basic guideline is when he didn’t eat, I take it that he is mouth pain, given Buprenophine- frequency getting shorter. Dental sx is a must le, maybe didi go u/s, he shall do full echo

10am: didn’t see him eat, so pain again so soon? Don’t want him to get use to Buprenophine but given a jab anyway

830am: serve him tuna w salmon, didn’t eat. Go drink water. Mouth pain again. Given kakato chicken fillet, got touch a bit, still mouth. Tonight maybe give gaba.

Manja 29.7.22 Fri 

11Am: seen dr d

Weight: 4kg- lose 130g 

His teeth, the gums all red and sore, confirm all need to be out this time. 

Got soft heart mur mur, dr think taking a quick scan of his left heart is more worth while than retaking pro bnp – dr yeumee help to scan, not much but got thickening of muscle for sure. got risk of ga, 20-30%, didn’t sound that bad. I hope not to take any risk at all for any older cat, even ah boy such age can don’t better, but I ask dr d what’s the plan of me wanting to whack pain killer till the end without taking the risk – ans is the mouth may cause more damage to heart – this is the core reason to go for dental. Plus dr d will stop if she think Manja can’t go on. we will wait for the good monitoring machine to come and do dental sx. 1 week b4 will start Clav to prepare him for it. 

Chem10: TP 9.2, glob 6, mainly cos of the inflammation. Liver kidney still looks good. 

BP 122/85 – good 

Pcv 40% – vaguely remember dr d said that cos no print out. Pcvtp at arvc is ex.

Status update: seem ok, Cora need to check teeth should be more urgent than Manja. Manja eating ok.

Day 14 on Clav jab. Tmr can stop the cycle. 

Morning: manja keep sniffing cora butt, aiyo like dee ko peh – cora just move away surprisingly didn’t turn ard to give him a tight slap. 

He got eat as normal but mouth didn’t look that clean. He really hate gaba, so I alternate day or so give him Buprenophine till I broke loh.

Morning: mouth looks like dr d come back he is the first to go do something about it. Given gabapentin. 

Morning: today he post a lot for photos – at diff  cat tray. 

Day 07 on Clav jab, doing ok ok nia. Oh ya I forgot to bring Buprenophine to jab for him, he looks like in pain too. 

Day 02 on Clav jab. Skin really hard to poke.I feel he hydrated too, Subcut him w b12 b com. He really like to eat the brit care food allergy management kibble

Morning: 4.09kg, lose 90g, started Clav jab 0.41ml. His skin hard to poke so it’s pain

morning: his mouth got issue again. I think I want to …. (Dental, but no,) try him on some jabs than to force him to have Clav 2 weeks. But I can’t think of the current vets can or not … I think they r hard, not open minded enough to tell them my worry/thinking. sigh vets can’t think of animal view – like to assume we act smart when I’m giving info on what I know about a cat (I have to care more than what u all need to care about loh, including their uptake of the plan, their feeling, their emotion, the cat can accept the arrangement or not, sigh) or I should just jab him n not that bad right? Tonight tell Manja about it. meanwhile waiting for dr d to be back. i do want Manja n ah boy to go dental scaling or something.

10am: his salivating starting soon plus now stress. I really feel like bringing him for dental le, but this time consideration is really $$$.

1030am: ard 4 days ago I really want to restart him on 2 weeks Clav, then he suddenly start to eat more. These 2 days he even drool. I wipe his thicken drools ard his mouth for him, told him just start medi Liao.

Dr ym keep saying to prepare for dental, so don’t stop ab but huh I wanna stop ab leh. Manja v unhappy, so she say can do a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off – to make sure Manja don’t Flare up again. Stop from 25-7 nov.

7am: Duno what to do if go vet today, think w Buprenophine he is functioning ok. Got eat tuna w white fish 

215pm: since it’s a slot so I see Dr ym 

3.37kg – drop 30g 

Tell dr ym the background story since dr d time to in between (mouth pain mainly, on gabapentin all the way) till last sat I know he something wrong cos he didn’t come to me, so found out the right metal in his leg n etc. 

Dr ym don’t think is legs issue that cause current pain issue since I told her that Manja behave better when I give Buprenophine. So he is pain somewhere more, but Duno where. I know mouth pain but not mouth only. 

Dr ym says smell bad n is bad enough to need dental works done – I’ll wait until no choice. 

Dr touch and can feel the metal plate on his right hind. 

She felt pulses on both hind, so she don’t think got clot or any major one. 

She heard a heart mur mur at a certain spot. I take probnp anyway cos 2019 Dr brandon tested negative but say good to retest again. – still negative 

Ears dirty. 

Good to start clav be it for the current mouth infection or to pre prep for dental surgery. 

Dr let Manja walk in room, she think he is walking fine, which is like last sat, ok but I know something is a bit weird somewhere. 

Got bladder, not big but I gonna test urine to see how. Also check for UTI if any. 

In short, test things Dr Daniel didn’t test. Lytes (wth did I miss out lytes myself? Low k also can hind weak mah) bp take bah (i sometime worry about his eye, so take once, one record at clinic also good), probnp since today got the heart issue in question. 

He sneeze twice in Carrier bag due to the alcohol smell. 

As for now, 

Go home: 1) Buprenophine good to give 2) give  Clav oral 0.7ml twice for 2 weeks. Review on 25.10.21. 

Lytes come out normal. 

Tp 7.8, pcv 35%. 

Bloodworks all ok. 

Urine analysis ok also, kidney ok. a little trace of protein n little bacteria that may come from the poke. Taken urine culture to rule out UTI anyway. 

Bp 146, also ok. 

In short, no diff, ha. unknown case again. I monitor first. 

11Am; still didn’t eat much, should I bring him to vet? Sigh. Another opinion? I think he need Buprenophine more.

Night: didn’t want to eat, given aixia oldie, maybe lick thrice n stop, yesterday morning did eat kibble, so hard to gauge. Should I bring him to vet again? 

1030am: actually yesterday night I feel that he is ok alr, but play safe see dr Daniel today 

3.4kg – he roughly take only – drop 180g

I put Manja on floor to show him what I wanna say – hind look weird, n left hind got tissue swollen. Take xray to be safe. 

Taken xray -left leg got fine hair line fractured – pain – but nothing major, give meloxicam 0.11ml for 5 days. Review in 1 month to see if got improvement 

B4 we took xray, he mentioned also might be old age arthritic or sprain etc that I know of – that’s y I come vet mah cos I want factual info 

Dr d took the right side as a comparison n found out something – Manja did a “fracture repair surgery” b4 on his right leg, no wonder his legs generally look a little weird. Means his ex owner spent so much on his surgery n yet abandoned him when he got those teary eyes? Or he roam outside for sometime then got those teary eyes n dental issue?

Morning: basic behaviour look ok 

Night: look weaker again – didn’t see him eat even if I serve Kakato seaweed 

Morning: he is tuck at one corner, I can see his hind legs r weak – left hind – limp? Got a little swollen? Or just old age leg weak cos I know he is getting v thin. dr ym no slots n worse still, next slot is on 14 oct. Sigh. 

His butt looks like it’s a little dirty, diarhhoe? 

He didn’t eat when I serve food, he did drink water, he look like the stage I need to bring to vet. I’m worried for him but told him I need to go to work. He know. carry him to big bed to rest n keep observing his hind – it’s weak. Don’t look injured. But definitely pain.

Thru out the day he isn’t at spots that cctv can see him.
