10.30am:n:”ok, we will attempt xrays. he very stressed out now so have to take short breaks, panting with struggling… in ur plc any lameness?” – I send don’t take if overstress 

10.36am: n”i can attempt bt as soon as her struggles i will stop. yes he had a good 5min break just now. i can give a jab of methadone later for painrelief” – agree to methadone jab. And X-rays taken. 

11.03am:n”update for HeiBai:

– blood work all within normal limits, except for stress hyperglycaemia

– *freecatch* urine test trace protein, rest all neg/norm, no glucose, USG 1.026 (isosthenuric)

– urine microscopy no bacteria or crystals

– FeLV/FIV/HW all neg

– xrays L and R hock all have evidence of marked arthritis and there is suspected fracture at the hinge of the hock (both left and right) so suspect is obesity related

– methadone given, can give 3-4days of melox to see if any improvement in swelling (mainly L hock)” – his HCT 48% and I’m correct, his kidneys r fine. But legs super not fine. 

I guess i know how his legs are injured. To escape n hide from danger he choose to hide in feeder house, n if he need to jump out of her house, her gate look like this, white is a board to block the gate, so he got to jump out of the red colour area that small gap. 

11.04am: n:”did a quick lateral abdo since we’re in that position for backleg xrays, no bladder stones seen, also did a quick bladder scan – confirm no stone inside bladder. melox is injection or oral u have? no need bupre for now unless still painful but would prefer gaba over bupre. no need antibiotics” – I’ll prep meloxicam inj n oral tmr, ill give jab and let jo/mmm help oral if I’m not in. GABA they can give tmr I’ll prep. Today he covered by methadone. 

11.05am:n:”hock swelling if responding to meds should be in next 3-5days but the arthritis is really bad, unless he lose wgt (i doubt in short term..) no bladder stone or kidney stones” – so I ask for catrophen and her reply:”yes, cartrophen will definitely help” 

“melox oral 0.5ml 1x daily for 4days (sl lower dosage) or melox inj 0.16ml SC 1x daily for 4days. gaba 100mg 1tab 2x daily. if gt joint supps can also start him on it” 

11.09am:n:”so for urine wise if continue to anyhow pee, more likely a stress issue, as for now no abnormalities, but if straining or blood, consider urinary supp (cartrophen would have help) and may consider urogenital scan in future”

11.43am: they back in room 1, told jo to serve another plate of chicken jelly, He got the super strong painkiller le hopefully he will eat – he did eat, really eat well so poor boy must be in so much pain. Wa somemore auntie like to drag/pull cat by their legs. Lucky that day she pull her front leg out not hind legs.

He got iso room to rest for now. Next week I got to try to merge him. I have to really depends on his behaviour, if he aggressive go and provoke fight, then considering his legs injuries, I still ask Dr Nally opinion on: If fighting vs go back void deck, which is a better option?

Her reply: “if he’s more stressed out being kept with other cats + fighting, might be kinder for him to go back outside but close supervision. as long as EDUF ok, arthritis can hopefully be managed with supplementing/cartrophen inj him while feeding…” – I’ll deem fit first. Tmr will not merge him. Tmr sayang and tell him the situation. Then Sunday major cleaning day. Monday then merge him see how

Serve tuna w salmon n husse tuna salmon, got smell didn’t touch – clear away. Serve FFG chicken treat, keen maybe take a bite. Serve whiskin chicken jelly, keen got eat maybe a mouth full while I accompany him, then I left to do other stuff, he totally didn’t touch further. 

Jo says she accompany him, he ate some kibble. 

I syringe fed him 9ml ad, grumpy non stop. His nails ultra long, almost ingrowth Liao. Have to cut at vet tmr. Waste money siak. 

1.30pm+: thinking of skipping tmr vet appt. Sigh. Everything price raised. Kerry room can’t shift. Tv room can’t return to mmm. No way to cut increasing cost. Send to dr nally on why I also think hei bai got what reason to see vet, cos Duno what’s the issue also. 

I update her factual info n her replies:

* didn’t pee so far from 15.4 10.30am (as of 16.4 Thu 1.39pm) 

this is of concern as it’s >24hrs no pee, peeing at other locations (periuria) typical of stress (feline idiopathic cystitis) especially in sterilised male cats that’s anxious/timid, which can progress to urinary bladder blockage if serious. if he’s confirmed not peeing >12-24hrs, strongly advised to come in asap…

Inappetence can be due to pain or stress.”

“Yes just worried his abormal urinary behaviour is start of something which then pogressed. He’s very overwieght so I doubt you can palpate the tummy for his bladder?” – ok tmr go vet la (see the pee status later on) 

4.26pm; mmm send me a photo of his plate, he got eat half can of chicken jelly. Sleeping. 

No news on his pee. 

Tmr let vet check his ability to pee bah. 

Night: day food cleared.

Consolidate last info I had on hb, his last weight on 16 Jul 2025 10.4kg – I prepare revo syringe for auntie to give. 

Last tested on 22.2.2022 fiv felv both negative.  

Today enter 猫房 > 10.30am, weigh 10.87kg – gain 470g from 9 months ago. 

Keep growling at daring/ Kerry next the door, wa like that how he can stay room 6. see how first. he got till 21.4 to monitor in room 1. 

Serve tuna w smoked fish, didn’t eat. Let him sniff FFG chicken he did but concentrate growling daring. Didn’t show any aggression towards me. Sayang him. Told him I got to go into their room. He saw me Subcutting toy. 

Sum up info I gather from Auntie. I ask her what will she say if she is at the vet right now, she say hb wanna pee then pee then (no logic to anyone), the only diff to her is he didn’t call for her to let him to go out to pee but pee in her house. Didn’t seem like an issue, at least not an issue that a vet will know what to do then. 

Then he pee on cardboard, then it can be hb got reasons not to go to his usual spot to pee (she then say XBDD always stalk him there). Then the fact that she can smell the pee smell, means hb kidbey urine concentration aren’t that bad yet. So conclusion, if today go vet either vet also Duno what to test, if not will be anyhow everything also test. Cbc chem15 lytes, fiv/felv, urine analysis UA UC. Blood n urine smear. Will see how today n tmr. 

Then Fri 10am appt I’m not sure to go ahead or not, even can go ahead, can they get hb blood? 2022 record that he is far too fat, end up only got 0.5ml Blood to get a fiv test and cbc done. I didn’t mind knowing his organs functions now. 

Still love butt rub, I use wet wipes to clean some of his back body and also remove that flattened pc of shit near his butt hole.
